I’ve been an die-hard fan of IK for a while now, and their attention to detail in their sound design is spectacular. Definitely one of the best compression VST plugins out there. Price-wise, this compression VST plugin is around the mid-range mark, and while it’s still not a cheap choice, it’s considerably under-priced based on the expansive functionality of the plugin. Advanced producers with experience in multi-band compression will find a massive amount of creative potential in this plugin, but the engine is very complex and detailed.
You may be thinking: “If this plugin is 5-stars across the board, why isn’t it at the number 1 spot? What’s the catch?” I’d say mainly because I wouldn’t recommend this plugin to beginners to music production, as there would be a steep learning curve to overcome. This multiband compressor from Vengeance Sound allows you to choose from 1 to 4 band mode, meaning you can use up to 4 independent compressors and limiters on one sound. Multiband compressors can be a game-changer for a lot of producers, and identifying a specific frequency focus point for compression can absolutely transform a mix.
